Champions Trophy Day
On Saturday 13th July 2024, we hosted our annual Champions Trophy Tournament at Kings Edwards Five Ways School. Champions Trophy Day is a rare opportunity for adult and junior members of the club to play in the same competition and spend time together socially whilst celebrating junior hockey which for many years has been the foundation upon which the club is built. The tournament will comprised of eight teams, each taking on the identity and colours of a hockey playing nation from around the world.
Over the Course of the day, we had a total of 71 players involved in the main tournament including 65 outfield players, 6 goalkeepers, 19 Juniors and 10 debutants. Additionally, we also hosted a junior match for those still at primary school which was enjoyed by all. The trophy for the main tournament was won by players representing India, but the real winners of the day were members of OHHC who got to enjoy a fantastic day of hockey which not even mother nature could ruin.
